Maria is a co-founding partner who has always had a passion for numbers. She attended McMaster University graduating with a Masters in Pure Mathematics after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics. Maria’s studies were driven by her desire to find not only satisfactory solutions, but the most efficient one. This drive and experience has lead to her career as a financial security advisor where she specializes in developing strategies to optimize the allocation of a client’s resources. Her detail oriented nature and highly analytical mindset allows her to construct, or sometimes reconstruct, a financial security plan in a way that often sets her above the competition.
Maria’s drive to use her talents for helping families stems from an unfortunate event. A close family member was catastrophically injured in a serious car accident that left the individual clinging to life and threw her family into upheaval. As such, her knowledge and understanding of what families go through as a result of these sorts of life-altering events has equipped her with the ability to see past what’s on the surface and address the problems at the core. Furthermore, she has a deep understanding and compassion for what families face in these kinds of situations.
The silver lining of having been through this is that Maria now comes with first-hand experience in building a new life from the ground up. She has a keen sense for what is required to get the financial train on track and to settle into a strong, responsible routine so that people can move forward with their lives. She brings a whole-family approach to financial security planning for accident victims
Maria believes it is important to explore new places and cultures to expand her knowledge, not only in the field of finance, but in many areas of life. As such, she is an avid traveller and often seeks out new, far-away destinations to experience. She also enjoys the physical and disciplinary components of studying the Japanese martial art of Aikido. All of which make Maria the keenly-focused, well-disciplined kind of person people want to handle their finances.
